Aputik
There is a legend that speaks of the
Inuit People having an extraordinary amount of descriptive words for
snow. Given the beauty and diversity of the changing winter landscape
it is easy to imagine how this legend came to be. Snowflakes are
completely unique in structure and form, when laid together they create
incredibly poetic landscapes. Aputik explores this exquisite and
powerful beauty.

Suspended
Floating in space and form, strange
beings that echo the beginnings of life, Jellyfish are fascinating
creatures. Photographed in a remote bay in Desolation Sound, this
series explores states of being, reflection and translucence, water and
fragility.

Imagination
The human mind has such a varied
capacity for interpretation. The inanimate can come to life, the
familiar can become strange, sometimes disturbing, sometimes
exhilarating. Our perception of reality is distorted by our emotions
and each person can attach a different meaning to an image depending on
what part of their imagination is stimulated.

Arboreal
Fascination with arboreal forms has
been prevalent in art since its inception. Van Gogh, Cezanne,
Monet, Ivan Shishkin and Tom Thomson all created masterpieces in this
genre.
Unassuming yet powerful, evocative and emotive, trees are responsible
for the very breath in our lungs. Tied to our existence, like the sun
and the ocean, they are the perfect embodiment of function and beauty.

India
The exploration of other cultures,
religions and the diversity of human existence led to this compelling
journey through the heart of India. This is a country where spiritual
practice is fused with daily life and sacred rituals are performed with
the utmost reverance and diligence by children and adults alike.
